Ian Maksin & Vilnius Guitar trio in the project “Come together” I March 15-19th.

This project will connect the artistic, educational and charitable activities. At the concerts audience will have the opportunity to hear works written by American composers, which will be performed by famous American cellist and composer Ian Maksin together with Lithuanian “Vilnius guitar trio”. The program will offer a wide range of music – from classical to jazz and rock. We hope that people will be attracted by the world unseen extraordinary combination of three guitars and cello. By the way, the program includes performers workshop, during which representatives of the two countries will try to create a single piece, get ready for a joint artistic program, provide project scenarios and reach an agreement on continuing joint events.

Moreover on day of the concerts in Alytus, Panevezys and Vilkaviskis will be conducted master-classes for pupils, students and their teachers. During classes our guest cellist and composer Ian Maksin will demonstrate his abilities and will tell all about the subtleties of the Performing Arts.

The main issue which we will try to help solving is financial help for construction of rehabilitation center for children suffering from oncological diseases. Project’s organizers will co-operate with a well-known charity organization called “Mothers Union” and part of the profit from the ticket sales will be donated for them.

Project will contain five concerts in five Lithuanian cities. Also, three master-classes will be held in Panevezys, Alytus and Vilkaviskis. Before project’s start performers will meet for workshop in Vilnius.
