An American cello virtuoso, internationally acclaimed artist, and composer, Ian Maksin, comes to Lithuania in March at the invitation of the U. S. Embassy in Vilnius and arts promotion company Arts Libera International. The cellist will reunite with the famous Lithuanian guitar masters of Vilnius Guitar Trio for a joint concert, “Come Together,“ scheduled to tour five towns in Lithuania.  Ian Maksin‘s visit to Lithuania is a part of a U.S. State Department “Arts Envoy“ program, which showcases American talent around the world and promotes inter-cultural dialogue.

As a soloist and a member of international ensembles, the celebrated cellist gives more than two hundred public performances annually in North and South America, Europe and Asia. He has performed in many prestigious concert halls throughout the world and has appeared on stage together with such stars as Andrea Bocelli, Sting, Gloria Estefan, and Barry Gibb. A musician with a unique sound and profound musical dexterity, Ian Maksin captivates audiences around the globe both as an impeccable classical artist and an innovative jazz and rock soloist.
